Members of Maroon 5 and Guster share what they learned during their expedition to the Guatemalan rainforest about illegal loggers destroying forests for use in musical instruments, and how some communities are successfully fighting back. They will host a short documentary of their trip with REVERB and the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA), then offer their reflections during a panel discussion and Q&A along with EIA’s Kate Horner and REVERB’s Lauren Sullivan, moderated by Scott Goldman, Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares. The musicians will intersperse the panel discussion with a special short musical performance, showcasing instruments that are made legally and sustainably.
